What exactly is an ice contact and how many people have them?

It is a contact number that you put on your phone. I.C.E. (In case of emergencies.) so that if you are taken ill or are involved in an accident it is someone that can be contacted. I have my eldest son as mine and have his mobile and home telephone number there.

Cherrypie just beat me to it 🙂

You enter the word ICE in the address book of your mobile phone together with telephone number of someone you want contacted in emergency if you are taken ill.

John

Thanks cherrypie & ukjohn, i've just done this now with my hubbys mobile number.

How do you also get another number number in there ie mobile and home telephone number?

Should have explained better. I have two ICE numbers, home phone and mobile for my son. He usually has his mobile off at work and my DIL will answer the home phone hopefully. I had to give an emergency number to the Podiatrist the other day, seems it is a new policy there.
