Just wondered what doses of insulin people were on thats if people want to share. Im on 100 units of Insurtard (slow acting)
gail

I'm currently on 58 units of novorapid and 18 units of levemir.

Wow. That's a lot gail.

I'm on 12 units of lantus and vary the humalog between 18 in the morning and about 8-12 dinner and tea.

Rob

T2s are often on higher doses I think Robster. Insulin resistance I think

Ah yes. I never thought of that. 🙂

Good to learn these things.

Rob

When I was on Lantus i was on 150 units a day

currently (As of today) im on 48 units of novomix 30 split equally into two doeses of 24 xxx

Well I'm on a fair amount. 24 units of Lantus and 2units per 10g carbs. Sometimes 2.5g.

Of course, the amount of insulin I take depends on what I eat that day. So far today I've taken about 38 units of Novorapid.

I use a pump so only rapid insulin. At the moment it varies between 20 to 24 units depending on the amount of exercise and how much I eat.
( normally 11-12 basal; 1:11 carbs breakfast; 1:12 lunch;1:14 dinner )
I reduced my insulin by almost a third after changing from MDI using Novo and lantus to the pump with Apidra.

just wondering, did you naturally lose weight after reducing the amount of insulin you take?

pumping. so basal rate around 12U at the moment.

breakfast 1.5u : 10cho
lunch 1.3u: 10cho
dinner 1.5u: 10cho

snacks depend on time of day 1u : 10cho after 8pm, or if less than 15g cho, 1.5u : 10cho other times or more than 15cho

average ttd around 35u, but can be a lot more depending what i eat

5 units insulatard first thing in morning and 5 last thing at night.

Humalog when I eat - roughly 1 to 1 ratio.

Well I am like Katie but just take 14 units Lantus and 2.5 units of Humalog pre 10g carbs. Ihave just put this up yesterday at lonch time from 2 units per 10g carbs so Iwill see how it goes today.

Carol is on 19 units of Levemir.

As we carb count, the Rapid doses are different every day.

She has 2 u/10g carb for breakfast
1 1/2u/10g carb for everything else

24 units of Humilin I in the morning and 20 units at dinner time.......

Ny ratios are AM: 3u:10g
Lunch: 2u:10g
Dinner: 1.5u:10g

In between meals usually 1:1, depending on how much insulin is actually working away at the time.....

So the novorapid dose is approximately 30-50 units

I'm currently on 36 units of Lantus.

Split dose of levemir-total units 28. Novorapid is dependent upon my carb intake for that day, but on average I take 22 units a day. Toby.

I'm on a pump and I average 57 units a day ~ 47% of that is for my basal. Oh I'm on humalog.
