What do you like on your pancakes?

Was that the LChef on the Hogs Back ??? Remember that one.
Yes: I still have flashbacks from climbing up the hill afterwards on Sunday mornings, with 'cafe legs' 😱.

My preference is for Staffordshire oatcakes, with bacon & cheese. Unfortunately we’re not in Staffordshire!

I remember pancake restaurants being popular in the mid-1980s. I was in Oxford at the time and there was a good one there. I think there was also one (called 'My Old Dutch'?) in the City somewhere.
Think there was one along High Holborn

Yes, that's the one I was thinking of!
I remember going there many decades ago when I was doing a training course in London. The venue was in High Holborn. Very delicious pancakes.<3

I think I remember that Little Chef.
It was about halfway between home and my grandparents'. My Dad's Standard Vanguard could not make the epic 60 mile journey without a stop. Some times we brewed up a cuppa on the calorgas stove in the Frencham Ponds car park (before it became silly popular). If we were very lucky (and didn't have the dog with us), we stopped at the Little Chef in Hindhead for cherry pancakes.

omg you used my trigger word - cherry. I am a total sucker for cherry products / flavours. It makes me feel like ...

My legs are aching remembering cycle rides around those places that you mention!

I used to live in Wolverhampton: does that count?

They may well be available there! I’ve bought them in Cheshire, but don’t seem to be in shops elsewhere, though you can now buy them online

Well I no longer live in Wolves, I'm afraid :(
