Work late some nights, and tonight will be working till midnight, so what can i get for dinner, working from my van so cant cook it, on a dieat and trying to keep the carbs low, so chips is out the question, but i will pass a supermarket, any ideas??

Does the supermarket have a hot chicken counter? That's always good for a carb-free snack. Failing that, a shish kebab with salad and no bread is good and tasty.

Chicken sounds ok but they always seem to be dripping in fat from round our way, but saying that its a Tesco in Boston that i will pass, not been in before so i can have a look.

If you're not eating carbs, you'll need to get your energy from another source. There's nothing wrong with fat as long as you're metabolising it and in any case, it's carbs that make you fat and clog your arteries, not fat.

I used to work on a Tesco deli counter and the only fat is what's in the chicken skin, which you can remove. I suggested a shish kebab because it's chunks of chargrilled lamb (as opposed to the processed fat-laden donner). enjoy whatever you choose! 🙂

Not avoiding carbs, just keeping them low, around 30-40 per meal

You'll still need to make up the energy somewhere. If you're eating 3 meals a day with 40g of carbs in them, that's 480 calories from carbs a day. The average person needs around 2000 cal a day, so at present you've probably got a deficit of 1500 cal you need to make up from somewhere. Assuming you have 150g of protein (a couple of chicken breasts), that's around 1100 cal. Too much protein will wreck your kidneys so the deficit can only come from fat. So you'll probably need another 700cal, which = 80g of fat. And that's assuming you protein intake is as high as 150g, you might actually need more.

In short, don't fear fat. If you're limiting carbs you need energy from somewhere. Fat is the only safe source.

Well i opted for the 3 drumsticks, not too bad, they did have the whole chickens, but large. So the 3 will get me home without the temptation to eat road kill lol
