Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
I have hashimottos and i seem to have a real issue with eating wheat and breakfast cerials my blood sugars just go upto 20 on a sandwich white or brown bread and i have been watching and reading articles where type 2 diabetes people eat normally i cant. I am hoping my doctors will start treating me as if i am type 1, i am so fed up with such a restrictive diet. From what i gather hashimottos has been attacking my pancreas, I will say i already take insulin to little avail.

If you give a little more detail of your insulins and regime that may help people make some suggestion for you. Not knowing that may mean you would get unsuitable or even dangerous suggestions.
People who are Type 2 and only dietary or diet and oral medication generally can't eat normally and have to be careful of their carbohydrate intake and would tend to avoid breakfast cereals and bread but those taking insulin may follow a different regime.

What insulins do you take (full name and any numbers or letters after the name) and when @rainey280663 ? Do you count carbs?
