What Are You Listening To?

Brought back to my attention by a friend, a Drum & Bass classic from 1996
Armand Van Henden - Ain't Armand

Edit - It's not like it's to meant to to be heard. Vinyl paired with a big analogue amp and giant speakers, where bass below human hearing, bass you feel as a vibration in your guts as much as hear it, is how Drum & Bass is meant to be experienced.

Brings me back to my 20s, almost.

Been streaming the new Ministry album, “Hopeum for the masses.”
Hit this track & thought, I know this tunes from the 1980s. (A song about drink driving from the lyrics.)
Sure enough it’s a cover of a song from Fad gadget.

Orbital - The Box - 1996 - About as good a music video as music videos get.

Luke Kelly and Co. - The Auld Triangle - 1976

Dublin city is divided by the river Liffey, running west to east. There are two major canals - the Royal Canal to the north and the Grand Canal to the south. The area between the two canals is referred to as the inner city. The Royal Canal runs past Dublin's largest prison - Mountjoy.
