I had a wonderful bacon butty this morning that I didn't have to make myself. The bakery next door to the office does them and I succumbed to the temptation. A wholegrain seedy roll with crispy bacon and brown sauce. Sigh!

Mmmmmmm! Not had one of those for ages!

Also, the bakery just round the corner from me has just closed anyway (that's where I used to get mine). No great loss, though. They were a bunch of grumpy so and so's (for years, not just recently!).

Andy 🙂

p.s. I've just rated this thread 'BAD', but in a good way!

I love this bakery, it's just a wee place, the woman who runs it and her hubby who does all the baking. He has a real gift for bread and scones and does some wonderful whole grain things. Reasonable prices too and they'll slice a loaf to your specifications if you want.

Sounds yummy, my dad brought some scones home with him from greggs the other day and i had 1 half of a cheese one before that it had been years since i touched a scone.

Have you got anything in to snack on some fruit, nuts or anything like that to keep you going

I try not to snack cause it will effect my BG levels, even if it just a small amount like nuts, I am quite obssesive with my sugars that way...

lunch at 12, yee ha
