Relationship to Diabetes

The past 3 weeks have been very tough waiting for my biopsy result following my colonoscopy.

Today the letter came through the post...it was 'normal'. I do have a diagnosis of diverticulosis which is essentially wear and tear in the bowel and a common condition in this country (due to insufficient fibre) but can be controlled by diet (just need to increase my fibre and drink plenty of water.

Such a relieve and can now get on with my life... swimming tonight; facial tomorrow (including eyebrow and upper lip wax 🙄) and haircut and colour next week - I feel like a new person.

The staff at the new Birmingham Queen Elizabeth Hospital we're fantastic.

Oh - that's great! Horrid waiting but worth it when the news is good.

Makes me laugh 'the NEW QE' - I can assure you it was new when I was approx 14. Mind you that makes it knocking 50.

But I was attending a Victorian built hospital until the mid 1980's. Nothing is built to LAST these days, is it !

Half my hospital's still Victorian! Our maternity home celebrated it's 50th birthday lasy year too.

Some of my work collegues suffer from diviculitis, it sounds pretty unpleasent, but they don't seem to have any more time off work than the average, so i guess they control it pretty well.
