Hi Guys,

Thanks for the info yesterday - I am at work today pre season friendly at QPR. Anyway, I had my banana while on my way to work... I felt fine. What I realised is that I would panic and say "must be a hypo". Nope - just low energy from not enough food!
Feeling hungry, I got to work had my breakfast - an improvement from previous days. I am full and satisfied! What a mind shift, still coming to terms with it. Onwards and Upwards
 
I feel it's like a massive energy shift what I learned yesterday from the forum. Me being a so-called diabetes veteran too. I think I more focused on learning about anxiety/depression, I neglected to learn about it also. Makes such a difference to know/realise it stopping the liver produce too much glucose/sugar...Onwards and Upwards
 
I think quite a few of our long-time members would admit there's always something new to learn. Sometimes it's due to tech changing, sometimes it's the breakthroughs in research... But sometimes it's as simple as one person finding something that works for them and sharing it with the forum or, on the other hand, the hive mind of the forum knowing those tried and tested things that could help others :star: I'm glad it has helped you!
 
I do feel a tad foolish and ashamed that I didn't look further before. Never crossed my mind to do so.
 
There should be no shame in that at all! As they say: we don’t know what we don’t know, and sometimes that means it simply doesn’t click in our heads to look up information. I’ll save myself the shame of sharing all of the realisations I’ve had over the years, but trust me - some of them made me want to be swallowed by the ground when I said them out loud. :D We learn things our entire lives so it’s better late than never :star:
 
It's got me doing my research thing. I learnt about when you get an elevated BPM - after eating or drinking, it's quite common and usually harmless.I know I tend to get it if I have too much caffeine, or if I have too much sweet things at once. Nothing to really worry about. It happens due to food sensitivities. It doesn't happen too often. Just a way of the body digestion trying to get things under control.
This was / is important to me as I can't take my own blood pressure readings. I get too anxious. So when it read 151/77 yesterday at the clinic, I was quite relieved. Slightly over the 140/80 mark. And without the daily homemade beetroot juice to boot.
Onwards and Upwards
 
Many things interact so taking everything into account though difficult does help. High blood glucose affects all cells in the body even the brain and can lead to anxiety and depression but also increases blood pressure so paying attention to way of managing your blood glucose better, from what you have posted about your meals that would be a good place to target.
It may take a while and a bit of planning to get improvement but worth it in the long run.
 
That is so true - in fact over the years on the forum I discovered a fair amount also too cope with anxiety and depressive episodes, or other mental health issues
