I went out to the shed and thought i was going to fall over😱 managed to get back in and thought better do BG 3.2😱 first time i have been through this, had glucose tablets in my bag but couldnt get the lid off, i have quite bad hands anyway, mumbled to hubby get the lid off😛
Gone back to 5.2 now , phewwww

Glad hubby was around to get lid off. Can you find an easier to open container to use?

Dont know what though as if they are not in a tube they will rattle around and break up:confused:

I use Dextro Energy tab (from chemists) which are in a packet - don't know if that would be any easier?

Decant tablets into a 35mm film pot with flexible lid. Use bubblewrap or screwed up paper to fill gap? However, the crumbliness of glucose tablets isone of the reasons I favour jelly sweets, in a plastic bag. Or a multi pack containing lots of small packs of gummy ursine creatures (to avoid mentioning trade name!)

Actually think a used strip pot might work, sweets are no good i would eat them😛

Phew, glad you managed to treat your hypo, Goosey. 🙂

At least you didn’t bite your neighbour’s head off mid-hypo, like I did recently (hangs head in shame) - I was fed up of her LOUD music, barked at her, went back inside, BAM! Oh no, hypo.😱 Oops...

First reading of your post, I immediately had a picture of a blood dripping head hanging out your mouth, and giggled thinking”how many carbs in a head...Don’t even watch horror films” sorry for my warped sense of humour

:D:D i didnt actually see a neighbour ,(good job really as i would be talking😛 and anything could have happened) but saying about how you reacted to her, we had just been doing some jobs inside and hubby said to me what's up with you? Have you got your bossy head on? This could have been the start then as just after that is when i went outside

If you go to a well known supermarket and in the bread/cake section you will find some catering gel which is pure liquefied glucose. I use it for hypos and it gets into my blood stream very quickly and it may help you too. I put my pump on a 25% temp basal for1 hour and this works for me. If you inject insulin you may want to have a biscuit or some cream crackers to stabilise your BG as well. This advice is just a suggestion and what works for me may or may not work for others.
