Did anyone find they lost weight quite easily to start with then no matter what you do you lose nothing more? A year ago today I was diagnosed and in the first 7 months I lost 4 stone. That was my goal but once it was reached I added another stone to it. Since December I did manage to lose 1/2 a stone but since being furloughed I’ve put it back on :( . I exercise every day and try to eat healthy ( again has been harder the last few months) but I can’t seem to lose anymore weight and I’m starting to get really frustrated with it.

Im wondering if my downfall the last few weeks has been peanuts? I know whey are quite high in fat but I’m really craving the salt on them and I’m eating a packet to myself every week as my “snack” Between meals maybe I would be better off with half an apple or popcorn instead?

I’m going to try roasting some kale today to see if that would work as an alternative when I want something with a little crisp to it
 
Peanuts and nuts in general have a lot of calories. The "swing factor" in whether I gain or lose weight actually seems to be mainly how many almonds I eat.

I find using a tool like www.cronometer.com to track calories vs exercise really helps to keep a handle on things.

Annoying having to do it, though. Nature should have designed things to make it all set'n'forget.

PS: If you're chomping down lots of salted peanuts I guess you're probably eating a lot more salt than the recommended levels, which is not good for BP & also means that you're probably retaining a lot of water.

thanks for the reply, I’ll ditch the salted peanuts and see if that helps at all. Hope to spend more time out in the garden this week so that will keep my mind of unhealthy food!
