Hi All,

After 20 years plus of diabetes my feet have gradually become very numb. Walking is getting to be very uncomfortable because, although my feet are numb, they have enough feeling to know that they are in shoes. The feeling of being in shoes causes discomfort. If I don't wear shoes there is no problem but that is not an option.

Just wonbdering if anyone else has this problem and whether anyone has a solution ?

Rob

Do you regularly get seen by an NHS podiatrist, and if not, why not?

Yes, but they do not offer much help other than routine care. I have asked a number of times about this problem but they do not seem to know the answer.

I was told off a Prof years ago that the trainers I whore where ideal for my feet. I spend a lot of the time up ladders at work. Circulation is also important. 🙂

Have you tried wearing sandals instead of shoes, they are much less restrictive.
