Just a quick update, saw my DSN today, long chat and it was decided that my insulin would change, phoned surgery up as was told to, for new prescription, and was told it would have to wait till tomorrow, DSN was very good drawn diagrams, notes, and how I should use my insulin, one is humilog 3x day and the other is Abasaglar 1xday, hoping it works better but scary stuff.

It’s likely they've started you on conservative doses , so some tweaking will be needed, don’t worry the nurse will help you .
Please don’t be scared of insulin. You will soon be an old hand and will in time learn how to adjust it yourself, I know that probably sounds really scary to you but it’s actually quite easy really . though I am on different insulins , Insulatard , a background insulin and Novorapid for meals, it is very flexible regime and I consider myself to be lucky that I am now on insulin, yes It is only natural to be worried, but that will soon pass .

Their is usually someone on here to give cyber support as well as advise when needed.
