Hi Steff, re: balsamic - it's quite nice on salads, but I prefer it as a cooking ingredient and put a generous dash in tomato-based sauces. I have a fantastic recipe for BBQ sauce if you're interested!

Cider vinegar is something I just can't stand - because when I was about 12, my mother put me on a fad diet than involved drinking a tablespoon of the stuff diluted in water before every meal. Yuk!

why oh WHY am i doing a fasting test today (and why didn't i think of this BEFORE buying the mixed veg bag to go with tonight's dinner??!!)
 
Re the balsamic we have it at work use it to top salads the amount of time we are asked for extra is mad I ain't ever tried it personally

Balsamico is reputed to have been created in Modena. Even Charlemagne in the 700s wrote to the Bishop there and asked him to send some of that 'special vinegar'.
