So I’m still working from home but now reduced hours (most of the company on full furlough) so 4 days not 5 which is nice.
I’m eating well, walking everyday.
I like having not to commute however took my body/me a while to work our the impact on diabetes.
I’m still quite new to my Libre but it’s been wonderful on that during this time. I actually got it my first week of lockdown I haven’t done an “old” normal day with it.
On the negative side I’m not getting as much exercise or as instense, I worry about that and I am drinking most nights, not lots but a glass or two and I know I shouldn’t be.

Depends what you're drinking though Phoebe. If it's Bombay Sapphire for instance, frankly it would be far better if you sent it me instead of drinking it. We only currently have Gordon's.

I’m running out of Smirnoff, I suppose once it’s gone I won’t be drinking anymore 🙂 I can’t drink too much beer or ale which Mr C has plenty of

We theoretically don’t drink alcohol Mon -Thu, but ....
Unusual circumstances require some adaptations.

1. I've fallen in love with virtual reality and it means I am doing loads more exercise on my exercise bike. Yesterday I did thirty minutes of fast pedalling and the only thing that stops me doing more is that my bum keeps going numb even though I have a wide cycle seat. But it is taking longer for it to go numb so I think that is a combination of being a bit lighter and my bum toughening up.

2. I've learned to make bread. It's okay because I've learned that if I drink strong peppermint tea at the same time as eating a small amount of it with plenty of home made butter on it - it doesn't do anything to my blood sugars. I am only having a small amount ( a bit of crust) once every few days.

3. Much better food coming into the home from local producers or organic producers.

4. I've bought a different blood sugar monitor from Amazon because it was recommended in another thread by @everydayupsanddowns and it is much cheaper for strips and lancets and I will be buying my own in future instead of getting it free from my GP. That's my contribution to saving money and time for the NHS ongoing and it means I can order consumables as a non contact delivery off Amazon and nobody needs to go to the pharmacy to collect them.

5. Apart from one day when I ate too much bread ( 2 thin slices) without drinking peppermint tea and my sugar shot up my levels have been consistently much better - probably because of less stress, better food and more exercise.

6. I can eat cold cooked potatoes without it doing anything to my blood sugars. If I drink peppermint tea as well my blood sugar levels drop and stay dropped!!!

Wish we had any 3s round here! Surrounded by countryside within a few miles and never come across a single one and we've lived here 20 years. We've regularly travelled the byways as well as the highways too, Used to be one at Hoar Park but not there now.
