Hello, my name is Olivia and I am an undergraduate geography student at the University of Cambridge.
I am currently in the process of conducting research for my final year undergraduate dissertation which aims to investigate everyday life as experienced through the type 1 ‘diabetic body’. More specifically, my research aims to consider the ways in which other people, materials (e.g. glucose monitoring and insulin technologies) and discourses (e.g. public awareness and ideas about diabetes in the media) impact the everyday experiences of people living with type 1 diabetes in different spaces and at different times.
As part of my research I would like to conduct interviews with people living with type 1 diabetes. These will be approximately 1 hour long and will be held virtually at participants' own convenience throughout August and September.
