I had an ultrasound scan today, to see if they could find a reason for the pain I've been having. No cause for the pain was found as far as I know, but the sonographer said I have a collection of blood vessels on my liver that requires monitoring due to the size. I have a blood test to recheck platelet count on Monday so will book a GP appointment next week to get results of that test and the scan today.

Hope all goes well with that newbs. Trouble is descriptions like that have us thinking the worse but it could be no more than an hemangioma on the liver (collection of blood vessels). I actually had a small one removed from elsewhere and it was then I read about them occurring on the liver. As with mine, they are benign and can be removed if troublesome. And they can cause pain I understand (usually in upper right side of abdomen).

Obviously that's just one possibility and hope that's the case for you when you see your doctor.
