I've just had an e-mail in from Lifescan.

Do you ever run out of test strips and urgently need to top up?

As a OneTouch? user, we thought you'd like to know that you can now buy your OneTouch? Ultra? test strips over the counter at larger Boots stores. Good news if you forget your prescription and need strips in a hurry.

Although they don't state the cost, that's good news.

Had the same email, if you do click on the link it does state the price ?27😱

No ?28 - ?27.99 for 50 ...... thanks for nothin, basically.

Shush, don't tell anyone but if you run out it cheaper to buy another meter and have the starter pack of test strips included in the price 🙂

On Amazen ?20.99
Diabetes4Less ?19.20
Pays to look around

Same email i got too, just deleted it str8 away lol

test strips

I just ask pharmacist to give me some, and he obliges, then when i hand prescription in,he knocks it off my total,Very nice man.lol🙂

Well exactly, it's always been fine on scrip anyway cos all you do if you aren't mates with the pharmacist is buy them, filling in the no VAT form as you do and then get a proper receipt for them which you can get refunded by the PCT or wherever it is you have to send em.

Has never been a problem.

So the only people who are gonna buy em ex-scrip is people who can't get the cost refunded.

You'd just get another meter with the cheapest strips, wouldn't you? - well I would anyway ....
