Hi all,

I am a type 1 diabetic moving to Hong Kong with work from Sept 2017 - possibly for a good few years. I currently get my prescription free through the NHS and feeling very lucky, in the knowledge it is not so easy elsewhere...

Can anyone share with me how it works in Hong Kong re getting prescriptions locally, the cost if you have to pay, and private vs public healthcare options?

I need:

- Novorapid flexpens
- Levemir flexpens
- needles for those flexpens
- fastclix blood testing needles
- Contour test strips

Thank you very much in advance 🙂

Maria

The Foreign Office is usually the place to go to ask such questions for other countries. Being a UK forum I've no idea what may be available there or anywhere else or how you would get it.

I'd expect the employer to be able to advise their staff about healthcare wherever they're sending them.
