So after this morning pump fail, I've felt off it all day.

I briefly got my bloods down to 13 but they've shot back up again.

Changed cannula & tubing & insulin, corrected via my pen & nothing no movement what so ever.

Can't we ever have a diabetes free day???

Sorry to hear this Laura. Nope, there are no days off! Sometimes if you've been high for a number of hours, which is probably the case after you had blood in the tubing overnight, you will be more insulin resistant for a while and it will take more insulin than usual to correct back to normal. I generally increase correction doses by 25% in these situations, and run an increased temp basal rate for a few hours. Hope you're back to normal soon 🙂

My nurse rung me & told me to do another set change (which was fun at work)

My TBR is running at 200% & nothing

Now have trace ketones so used my pen again.

Kinda glad I'm getting these issues on a week day & have the forum where there are pumpers to offer advice

I can dream of a day off 🙂

I know what you mean about a day off the diabetes ..... Its so relentless isn't it ?. Just a bit of space from the D would be so nice !
Hope you get the pump situation sorted soon ! 🙂

Ooooooh a day off from diabetes would be lovely. What would we do? My OH has just reminded me that I had problems in the early days with the pump...and although I have the occasional niggle with it now I wouldn't swap it for anything. Keep persevering and know that we are here for you

Oh, don't put me off! My pump's on order, and am expecting a lot of problems/aggravation/maybe even throw it out of the window type scenarios, before I come to terms with it.

As for a day off - wow dreaming :(

Sorry Casper!
I love my pump & don't miss MDI at all but I get a bit scared when things happen as I live alone (just if anything drastic happened)

Thanks AJ, I think it's coz it's so new I'm a bit like arghhhh, out the window you go!

Day off wise, I think we should have a big party & eat all the naughty stuff :D

I finally managed to get my bloods sorted Friday after a second set change & ended up hypo 🙄
