I am now at the conclusion of my Metformin trial. I have been introducing it over a 4 week period alongside Lantus and Novarapid. Pleased to say that i have reduced Lantus to 9 units alongside the 2000 mg dose of Metformin. I take 2 metformin with breakfast and same evening meal. Novarapid however is like a tail of two halves. At breakfast the least i need is 4 units for low carb up to 8 for porridge. After midday sometimes i don’t need any more Novarapid. So it looks like i will be on this combination as it is putting me 95% TIR. Is this a common combination?

You will find there is no standard for Basal or Bolus injection shots. We are all different both in the amount of insulin needed and the profile during the day.
