Hello
I have just found this Forum and decided to take the plunge. I think I've done ok over the years controlling my blood sugars, exercising, etc. However, over the past few years I've been diagnosed with more endocrine problems and am beginning to think I'm just working my way through the alphabet, gaining as many different conditions as possible. I laugh (or try to) but had to give up my career a year ago and am struggling to do basic exercise. The weight is back on and I feel so angry all the time. Life evolves and so will I. It's just a bit annoying to feel like I'm back to square one after 37 years. On the bright side, I'm still smiling!!

37 years - still got the L plates on then!

It becomes a vicious circle sometimes and hard to find a way between the spikes when we're trapped in the centre of it. With determination and support - moral and/or physical - though - somehow it makes it possible to at least point ourselves in the right direction even if it doesn't get us all the way through in one go.

Same length of time here, 37 years as a type 1.

Life has its challenges no doubt about it, keep smiling and stay positive.

Hi and welcome 🙂
I've still got my training wheels on!

Hi WeeL and welcome to the forum. 🙂 I'm always learning something new. You think things are going 'alright' then it all goes t*ts up. It can seem like an untamable beast at times but I'm sure you'll get through it. Keep smiling. 🙂

Welcome Weel
Glad that you have found this forum.
It is good to have people around who have practical solutions to those downs that appear now and then.

Welcome to the forum.

Hello @WeeL and welcome to the forum.
You never stop learning about diabetes no matter how long you have had the condition and some of these young whipper snappers have plenty of good advice and new ideas as well as us oldies (diabetes wise).

Please KEEP smiling :D. Well done for your 37yrs. I keep telling myself its a right pain in the ----. Makes me laugh. Welcome 🙂
