Hi all, i was diagnosed type 2 at the start on Jan, blood test result of 72. Came as a bit of a shock as i was fairly active on a decent diet, but hey ho such is life. I borrowed a home test kit and my first reading on that was 7.8. Cut out all kinds of sugar, changed my diet so more protein and less carbs, and upped the exercise. Since then i have lost over a stone and my reading this morning was 5.8 so going in the right direction

Welcome @Bistray Great start - well done!

Hello @Bistray
Many of us have experienced that first shock of diagnosis.
Personally I found it to be a very good 'wake up ' call.
It looks as if it has been for you as well, and the changes in eating plan and exercise are working really well for you.

Well done. It isn't always easy to make the changes, but the pay-back in terms of health and well being are usually well worth it.
Best wishes for continued success.
