Hi and welcome to the forum. Feel free to ask any questions. This is a very helpful place.

Welcome to the forum. Great advice and support on here.

Hello, I was diagnosed with Type 2 last week.
Hi Alby, welcome to the forum 🙂 Sorry to hear about your diagnosis - how did it come about ? Have you been given any medication for your diabetes?

I'd suggest having a browse of our Useful Links thread, which contains links to some good resources to help you get to grips with what it is all about 🙂 It's a serious condition, but thankfully one that can be controlled well with the right knowledge and application. I'd recommend, in particular, reading Jennifer's Advice and Maggie Davey's letter, plus it would be worth getting a copy of Type 2 Diabetes: The First Year by Gretchen Becker, which many of our members have found really helpful.

Please let us know if you have any questions - there are no daft ones! If it is confusing or worrying you, let us know 🙂 I look forward to hearing more from you 🙂

Hello, I am very recently diagnosed too. Everyone here is lovely and very helpful indeed.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Plenty of folks around here to help guide you through the mine field which is the first few weeks while you learn about diabetes.

Welcome Alby. I was diagnosed type 2 in Feb last year and have been on a steep learning curve.

How are you coping with the news? Are you getting a handle on things?
