The aim is to spend the minimum time below target so yes, you
do correct 4s and 5s with a tiny amount of Dextro to nudge your sugar back up when you’re trying to improve hypo awareness. This is important.
@mum2westiesGill I sharpened my awareness hugely. I used this method and it worked.

I might decrease my basal by 1 unit from 15u to 14u tomorrow. 14 sounds as well because it's an even number

- acting time - 4 hours - default
- meal rise - 4.2mmol - default
- half insulin unit increments

5-8mmol changed to 6-10mmol on 14 Dec 21 to try and get some hypo awareness back.
- if under 8mmol at bedtime have 10 - 20g of carbs with no injection
Insulin to carb ratios
1u:8g - for breakfast
1u:10g - for everything else
Correction Factor
1:3mmol

Nov14 = 63 / Apr15 - 81
Sep 15 = 79 / Apr 16 = 79
Dec 16 = 74 / Aug 17 = 87

Since post #13 I now won't be having shares with dextrose because since before tea yesterday every BG has been above target
