I would reapply and put them in the position of making that same prejudicial decision, because it shows they are not listening and determined to discriminate. I think it is really useful that you have that email from the medical team giving you the green light because it is evidence they are going against medical advice on what is essentially a medical issue. I appreciate that you can't afford to pursue it legally, but you have some good evidence and if they throw out your application again I think it makes your case stronger for an MP or even a journalist to get involved and highlight the injustice.

I agree with @rebrascora, apply again and contact your MP about the discrimination. They might get informed that someone is challenging their discriminatory process and sort themselves out. Little to lose, methinks!

Sorry to hear about the ongoing obstructions and frustrations you are experiencing.

Would you still like the job if it was offered to you? Or has the whole rigmarole put too much of a dent in your enthusiasm :(

Hope you make some progress if you decide to apply again, or that your MP can help you.

Thanks for the update. Sorry to hear what trouble you’re having. Sometimes it’s less stress to just walk away, but it depends on how much you want the job.

Very saddened to hear this has happened to you @Matt37411. You could try and re-engage with the occupational health team to discuss this matter. They may be able to do another assessment or look at the case again to potentially offer further clarity.

If this isn't an option / or you're just not hearing back from them, along with writing to your MP, you can also get in touch with the Equality Advisory and Support Service: https://www.equalityadvisoryservice.com/ for further support and guidance on your next steps.
