Hi everyone. Has anyone had a gastric sleeve operation? I’m looking for experiences and to learn more about pre-op prep and any good/bad things that have happened for me to be aware of. Much appreciated
 
Nobody I can think of @Hannah C A Type 1 asked the same question recently but no-one replied. Could you ask your consultant if they know of anyone with Type 1? Presumably you have a lot of insulin resistance? If that’s the case, the experience of Type 2s on insulin might be of some help.

I am currently waiting for my surgery . I had a date but my hb1ac levels were dangerously high . They have come down but need to get them under 70 they are currently 75 ;( so my op has been postponed
