Now and again I wake up during the night with tummy ache usually in epigastric region.I am thinking it might be the metformin. It seems to ease if I get up and have something to eat. But I think it only happens when I have gone to bed without a snack in first place. At present when and what I eat has been a bit patchy.I have had to go with the flo, do some damage reduction as best I can. Hopefully it will resolve on Monday when I get back to Melbourne. So far I have had little problem with the meds so been very lucky.

Do you take the metformin before bed? My understanding is you should only take it with food and upset stomach/sore stomach can be a side effect if you don't
Hi no I take it with my meals only. It just seems to happen now and again now.
