i'm going to try low carbs today... had eggs bacon and low fat saus for breakfast with NO TOAST... unheard of! am already panicing about lunch!

Does anyone know if polenta is allowed? its maize based, says 15g carbs?

any help greatly received, eg how much carbs os an ok limit? thought i'd cut out bread, potatoes, rice.. thats going to be hard!

Thanks in advance

Dear Julie,

I'm afraid that your approach may be doomed to failure, it is not a question of how much of this or that is OK - we are all different! What you need to do is get a book on how to do it - see the books thread. Meanwhile, have a look at this site - it gives you the basics.

Good luck with the reduced carbs, let us know how you get on.
