I am on porcien hypurin and porcien isophane insulin at the moment.
My doctor wants me to use porcien hypurin insulin and Treshiba analogue insulin instead of porcein isophane insulin.
Has anyone tried using Treshiba insulin with porcein hypurin insulin as a separate injection?
I would appreciate feedback on this.
Many thanks.

Hi @little fawn Did your doctor say why they wanted to swap you on to Tresiba? Is so you only have to have one injection of basal a day plus your porcine neutral? Or is it’s you don’t have to be so precise with the timing of your basal injection?

Whatever the reason, you don’t have to swap if you don’t want to.

Welcome to the forum @little fawn

How are you feeling about the switch of insulins? Was this something you asked about? Or has it been suggested to tackle a particular issue or frustration you have been struggling with?

I can!t think of many current members using animal insulins. We had a member who used bovine insulin in a pump, but switched to an analogue rDNA insulin when Wockhardt discontinued bovine.
