I tend to be with Lucy on most things: the Sage of Diabetes UK :star:
I do try to be more careful now, caused too many problems with not always seeing other people’s side of things… still do sometimes. Moderators always help out though.

Well, despite what some other people seem to think, none of us is here as an Expert Witness: all we're invited to share is our own side of things - and to respect other people's side of things, even if we don't understand or agree with it.

I value the fact that you're always keen to help other people and that your posts are clear and concise: some other people's posts make my head swim, being long and full of data.

Guilty as charged! 🙄 .... Which is why I too value @Lucyr 's succinctness.

@Proud to be erratic ....Roland, I don't know what you are laughing at, you are as guilty as I am! 😉 If I am going to be sent down, I am taking you with me..... Just hope the judge doesn't send us both to the gallows!

It is why I laughed. One problem (or delight) about getting older is getting to know yourself - sometimes too well!

Christmas in the erratic household is remarkably calm just now. We're in the lull between present opening with our 11yr old grandson's excitement and Christmas lunch in an hour or so. The younger adults are busy with their admin duties. I'm busy with family and friends phone calls, but I've even got time to check the Forum gossip.

I was mildly envious of your opportunity to get a carriage ride in this fine and mild morning; I love the concept, but don't want the 365 / 24 hr equine responsibility, nor the commitment to cleaning and maintaining tack. I let that slide away many, many years ago.

Apologies to @digihat, this is thread creep at its worst.

Am laughing as well.I remember as a teenager writing an essay and the teachers comments were soporific and verbose and I had to look them up as did not understand them.My posts are still like that many years later and shows I did not learn any lessons.

My English master for some reason didn't like the fact that I made it clear I thought I was better at English than him. When he complained once about my grammar, I said, "Shakespeare wasn't consistent with his grammar". The master simply replied, "You're not Shakespeare".

Also, I loved Agatha Christie and learnt a formula for writing essays that always earned me an 'A' - until the same English master only gave me a 'B'. When I queried it, he said, "It's just an Agatha Christie pastiche".
