I'm back in the Black Country on Thursday: I'll have to see if I can work out where people are from by their accents!
My hubby used to be able tell their origin within a couple of miles after listening to their accent and dialect. I can only recognise the yamyam accent as different from brummie. The nuances are lost on me.o_O:rofl:

Having lived in the West Midlands for 23 years in total, I managed to modify my London accent by the time I left so that children no longer threw stones at me in the street.
