You have my blessing, Stitch, as long as it's lemon drizzle or coffee & walnut...mmmmmmm 😉

Oh damn - just had a Morello cherry scone and don't have any of either of the specified ones.

However - I am prepared to accept the scone as my contribution to your celebrations - which I'm most happy to concur with - so Bravo, Bravissimo! - jolly well done!

Thank you, kind friends, I'm determined to keep this going - and y'all can feel smug too cos my GP sings your praises :D
Does your GP know that others consider us to be rebels lol

I shall graciously allow you a scone, trophywench, and may you enjoy it enormously 😉

Brilliant results. Well done

Excellent. :D Great news.

Fab news for you Pine Marten. Well done . Setting us all a good example

Fantastic result, well done! I hope you did celebrate with some delicious treat.

As some of you know, I had my review this morning, and I am joyously happy to say that my HbA1c is now 5.3 (or 34)! Other results also good.

My GP was so happy she said she didn't want to see me again 😛 and my 6-monthly reviews are down to yearly, so I'll still see the nurse for foot-tickling next May. My blood pressure was slightly up, however, so I'm to go back next week and have it done by the healthcare assistant, but I don't mind as she's really nice and we have a good gossip. I think it's just the white coat syndrome as it's usually good when I do it at home.

My GP said again that she tells her colleagues about me (anonymously) and my 'support group' :D and how well I'm doing - and of course, dear friends, it really *is* due to your help, support and good sense, so thank you, thank you, thank you!
Fantastic results PM...refreshing to hear your health teams response...encouraging.... if only there were more enlightened members of our NHS services out there...there is great support here...but...you have to take the credit for all your hard work...well done...as for the blood pressure...I have exactly the same problem...always do mine at home now...have terrible W/C syndrome...GP is happy with that...have a fabulous weekend...again...well done!

Great results PM. Good luck with your blood pressure as well. Maybe have the blather first then the monitoring to help with the white coat syndrome. Lol

Wow, thanks, guys! Actually, @Carolg, I did my blood pressure at home earlier, and it was 122/74, much better than at the surgery - and when I have it done by the healthcare assistant Tanya it's usually good, as she takes her time and chats, whereas the GP and nurse tend to rush you into it.

I shall compare today's reading with Wednesday's when I see Tanya, and she can record them 🙂

A happy week to you all :D

Fantastic results Pine Marten, well done :D:D

Thanks, @New-journey, we went on a coach outing on Saturday with the historical society we belong to, and had fish & chips & mushy peas for lunch in a pub! Mmmmm :D

A little update on the blood pressure: at the surgery this morning Tanya did it and it was 113/75, which she was very pleased with. It compares well with my reading at home on Monday of 122/74, so I'm chuffed :D

Thanks for all your lovely comments, dear friends, it's all due to the support & info found on this wonderful forum!

Brilliant results
