Just got to office, and was going to test before my breakfast sponsered by greggs the baker, alas 1 strip left, and today I'm out and about onsite gonna be a pain in the foot! Lets hope my gut and awareness are up for it today, I think I'll either test before lunch or before heading home!

What fun!

Rossi 😛

Any chance you can pop into a pharmacy and get some strips? If not, keep the jelly babies handy - hope there's no need for them though and you have a good day! 🙂

Cheers Al, should be okay I reckon. How would one go about getting supplies from a pharmacy if no prescription? Charm and a degree in blagging?

At least it's not going to be hot today!

You don't need a prescription to buy test strips 🙂

Cheapest option may to buy a meter as they can be found on offer for about ?7 some times, you also get 10 strips with the meter. Or pop into boots or Lloyds as they do free diabetes checks. Just look surprised if you are not in the non diabetic range and ask what the results mean :D

Good thinking Sue! 🙂

My pharmacy will take an unsigned prescription that the receptionists print off straight away, the pharmacy then takes the prescription to be signed by the doctors, it is like they are lending you some until the prescription comes through! My previous pharmacy would just lend me some and knock it off my next prescription. My advice would be to be apologetic and look worried and they can usually help you out!

Oh no i get panicky when im on my last pot, let alone strip! hopefully you will be ok, have the lucozade to hand incase 🙂 hope you manage to get some some strips! have a good day 🙂

okay yeah fair point Al!

Well I was a bit moody first thing and realised I was low so had a munch, then guessed at lunch busy afternoon tested before driving home, and a magical 5.1! Felt dodgy all day, which makes me wonder how much all of the testing is mental!!

Best get a new pot out now home!

Cheers again all,

Rossi
