Since cutting back on regular bread the one thing I haven't found is a low carb bread that makes decent toast. I regularly have LivLife or HiLo bread but the slices are so small that if I make toast I always put two slices in the toaster. That's 10g carb for HiLo and 7.6g for LivLife. That's half the carbs of regular or granary bread but for me not great toast. However, yesterday in Morrisons I picked up one of their own brand Wholemeal Protein loaves and lo and behold, decent sized slices and only 8.6g carb per slice. Does it make decent toast? Yes, and low carb, too. Search over..!!

My Morrisons that I dont usally use but is near my Chiropractor, so managed to get it for a few weeks and then they did not seem to have it. It seems to happen to all these differnt breeds in my experience.

To be fair I hadn't seen it in our Morrisons until yesterday. Maybe I ought to buy a few and stick them in the freezer..!

If you like it I suggest you do. I had seen it mentioned on here a few years ago and when I saw it on one of my infrequent visits I bought it to try. At the time I was having frequent visits to the Chiropractor, so I started buying then. They then did not have so I gave up on it.

I find Hovis Low Carb bread very acceptable for both toast and sandwiches. I prefer the seeded to the wholemeal variety but that's just personal taste.
