I read somewhere that toasting your bread lowers the gi, does anyone know if that's true? x
 
Interesting. I will have to test that theory some time.
 
Actually someone told me that yesterday .. I have no idea if its true but they have obviously got it from somewhere ... Lol x
 
I honestly do wonder lol, supposedly with white bread if you freeze it first, then toast it lowers the GI even more, I don't eat white bread though haha x
 
I think that this might be one of those "facts" where you have to ask yourself "if it sounds too good to be true it probably is🙄
 
Maybe it's the butter on the toast that lowers the GI?
 
But surely if it was the butter it would work with untoasted bread too as you butter a sandwich too x
