I had a weird evening after getting back from Oxford - hypo after hypo! I was 2.9 after getting in, then 3.5, 3.2 and 3.4. I ended up consuming 80g carbs overall, which for me would be equivalent to a main meal! Finally managed to get them up to 6.0 before bed and a 5.4 on waking.

I can only attribute this to the effect of the two pints of Titanic beer I had in the pub, which clearly sunk my levels well below the Plimsoll line! 😱 Perhaps I could ask for it on prescription? 🙂

Dream on Alan 😛:D

Sounds like you had a Titanic struggle..? [I'll get me coat]

Next time, you might try singing "Abide with me, don't fall this eventide" as you sink below the table.

I once had a "real ale" which turned out to be so badly kept that to my mind it should have been called Titanic -- I found it nearly unsinkable! 😱

When i was first diagnosed, i couldn't get my b/s below 20 (bad advice from gp nurse) and in the morning my b/s were HI 😱 but went out one night and had a good few beers, next morning i woke and my b/s were 8:D i thought i'd found the cure lol

Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you're here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on!

Perhaps it was a hidden side-effect of the "Flaming Dragon"!!

Hope alls well now.
