I have had tinnitus for years and yes I hear it in my head all the time but it is surprising how when I want to sleep when tired enough, I sleep. You can get used to it. but I do not have any solutions, I am sorry. Mine I think was caused by blown ear drums and many infections, it's the dizziness that gets me most when I blow a ear drum, causing me to fall over.

Mines from when I caught mumps as an adult. At least I don’t fall over, poor you :(

I do as well, I have two sounds, the bussing in the ears, as though you've come out of a very loud concert, and also get, a kind of distant brass band type of sound, one that you can't quite pin down. It'w more apparent when it quiet in the evenings or night time, most of the day I can ignore it.

Same here, I have my electric mosquitoes - it’s kind of like the buzzing you get near high voltage wires, and also ‘ghost’ noises - thuds and bangs, weird twanging noises, and the door knocker, which is really annoying as it often gets me out of bed thinking there’s someone there.

Was tinnitus sent me to the doc, came on suddenly in the mddle of the night, woke me up, so loud, thought it was smoke alarm. You can imagine the panic. Next day, Doc ordered whole lot of tests - you haven't had this that and the other, oh, and you are overdue for this one as well !
Which is when got informed, elevated cholesterol levels, risk of osteoporosis, all clear for cervical cancer and you have PreDiabetes. Had thought I was healthy.
The tinnitus went away.
