I take my three different oral diabetic medications with meals, breakfast around 7.30am, and then with evening meal around 5.30pm.
Any experience about what is ideal? I just have the feeling that when I forget evening meds at 5.30pm and take them before sleep I am more balanced in the morning.
Metformin slow release 4 a day
Pioglitazone 2 a day
Canagliflozin 2 a day

Well if they are twice a day then it makes most sense to be 12 hours apart. However as that's in limbo between meal and bed but meal is less than 12 hours - bedtime does sound more sensible.

OTOH - I thought Metformin was sposed to be taken 'with' food ?

Metformin with meals, slow release Metformin is released slowly, so does not have to be exactly with meals so I am exploring the choice

Hiya Bill. Where you been hiding?🙂

You know what is like, may be diabetic but there are many other things in my life.
Came back from a cruise to Gibraltar recently where the sugar-free dessert was semolina or rice pudding with sweeteners. Chef does not understand low calorie or low GI!
