Does anyone use a timer attached to their pens to show how long ago they took a dose? If so, do you recommend the one you are using?
I had an occasion last week when I could not remember if I had taken the long acting insulin.
TIA.
Carol

Hi Carol, welcome to the forum 🙂 What long-acting insulin are you on? I use a Novopen Echo for Novorapid which has a timer (and very useful it is too!), and I believe it can also be used for levemir (which I don't use). I'm not sure about lantus, but I believe there are timer attachments you can get (Timesulin springs to mind), but they are not available for all varieties of pen.

I'd certainly recommend the Echo, it's brilliant! 🙂

I use the echo pen with levimer and nova rapid. Like northern said it has a timer attached.

I used the timesulin pen tops because they were the ones the DN gave me. I found them very useful. Apparently they only last a couple of years till the battery dies. There is another brand which you can put new batteries in. I can't remember the name but think they are advertised in Balance
