Doesn't seem like 3 months since I last posted this but I get my HbA1c results in the morning again.

So 6 months on from starting Byetta injections and I feel I'm doing well appart from I'm still getting fasting readings higher than I would like, typically around 8 - 8.5 with the odd 6.* thrown in. The rest of my readings have been really good with mostly 4's and 5's before meals almost always under 8 afterwards. I don't test as much as I was doing when I first started on Byetta but my 7 day average is 6.7, my 14 day - 6.9 and my 30 day is 6.7.

As my sig. says my last HbA1c was 6.7, so any guesses what the magic number will be this time?

I have cut down on the Gliclazide since the last test and I'm not getting as many hypos as I was so I'm half expecting a slight rise. I'll be happy if it's still under 7. XXXXX

Im gonna predict a none to shabby 6.6 ma lov good luck

6.4 from me, keeping my fingers crossed for you! 🙂 xx

6.9% from me 🙂

You could say I'm well pleased with myself this morning. Off to change my sig. now! XXXX

Faith, that is absolutely wonderful - and well done on your result too! :D

Thanks Steff, Alan and Mark! Still grinning here. 🙂

Actually I wish you could have all been at my Surgery this morning.

I'd made an appointment to see the GP following my appointment with the Nurse. Flu jab, results and GP all in the space of 20 mins. Who said I'm not organised!?

I wanted to ask him about my painful arm (he thinks it's tendonitis and has prescribed anti inflamatories ) but mentioned my HbA1c while we were chatting. He was suitably impressed and told me that maybe they should have me teach the other Type 2's how it's done. Well, how could I resist mentioning pro active self testing, carb control and this place? His face was a picture as he agreed with me in principle and told me how well I look these days. Heehee! 🙂 XXXXX

Wow 6.3, that's fantastic Blythe, well done. And well done to for telling the doctor how you got there. :D
