That's the point I was mentioning earlier Helen. Those that are old enough will remember the needles that were screwed on to the glass syringes, these were reused time and time again and felt much like a knitting needle inserting the skin, I had problems back then with bruises and lumps from those awful needles. The new modern micro-fine needles are designed for single-use injection and blunt very easily, so injecting through clothing will ultimately damage the needle and perhaps fail to deliver the full dose of insulin. As a poster said earlier.......'each to their own'........but I would again advise against it. Toby.
