Breakfast - Pink Total (0%), with walnut halves
Snack - a clementine with some hazelnuts
Lunch - celery sticks. brown Warburton square, with LF mayo, boiled egg and cress. A pear.
Snack - an apple with some almonds
Evening - quorn in a large salad

Plenty of water drunk during the day - a coffee first thing and then possibly mid morning.
Milk in the evening, to take pills.

Does that sound OK ? I've struggled for a while, with family illness taking priority over things...trying to get back on track, before I go for review. Does the above sound like a good intake for the day,if I'm getting good BS readings ?

Thanks for any input,
Helen

Good advice from ditto about the menu thread. I've no idea what Pink is either! 🙂

Sorry to be totally honest and blunt about it but those foods would not appeal to me or satisfy me.
What I had yesterday was a slice of Burgen Bread for breakfast plus a cup of black tea.
First tea break I had a tomato and ham sandwich(same bread) plus a 20g bag of crisps.
For lunch I had a salad, ham, egg, smoked turkey, spring onions, lettuce, beetroot plus a sprinkling of honey mustard sauce.
For dinner I had shepherds pie(lots of mince and very small topping of potatoes) with heaps of turnip.
Just before bed I had black tea again and 3 Nairns oatcakes.
Did not take a reading for breakfast but 2 hours after first tea it was 5.9.Two hours after lunch 4.9.Two hours after dinner 5.7.
Admittedly I have a brisk 30 minute walk after dinner(every evening) which seems to keep even the biggest meals to an acceptable level.
After much testing over the past 3 months I now know what I can eat without incurring huge spikes.
