To cut a long story short. I had an urgent appointment with my GP after a repeat of something that happened in the summer. She has referred me to the neurologist. When I asked her what she thought was wrong she said that it was for the neurologist to decide but thought that it was MS, MND or something similar. Just hope she is wrong.

Oh Amanda, I'm so sorry this has reared its head again, just when you were looking forward to everything you'd got planned this year. I do hope it comes to nothing. Thinking of you.

Thank you very much Robin and Alan. I'm just going to have manage what is going on and make the most of the good times. I'm going to be TUFF 🙂

So sorry to hear this! I also hope she is wrong ((hugs))

I hope things sort themselves out and the doctor is wrong. At least you are getting things checked out and will get some answers.

Sorry to hear this Amanda. Hope your appointment goes ok. X

That's very worrying for you Amanda and I sincerely hope you soon get an appointment and the outcome is better than you expect. Everything crossed for you xx

Everything possible is crossed for you for a positive outcome xx

Amanda, I just had a thought. Please don't take this amiss, I am in NO WAY suggesting you've got alcohol withdrawal symptoms, BUT, as you have just embarked on Dry January, do you think your body could be adjusting to the change of stopping even low levels of alcohol?

Thank you everyone. Robin thank you very much for your suggestion, which is a good one, but this latest episode is an exact repeat of what happened to me in the summer when I was drinking wine 🙂

Sorry I probably should have said that it's a weak sensation in my lower arms/hands and feet that comes on suddenly, lasts quite a while and feels absolutely awful. I was told in the summer that for my hands it is not neuropathy or carpal tunnel.

Scary. Keep us updated.

That's not MS.

AJ, stay hopeful. There's no definitive diagnosis yet and it could very well be diabetic related. Certainly not the symptoms of MND as I've seen it in the past. You must be worried but stay strong because it's too early yet to know what's wrong. Hugs from me.

Thank you very much Amigo. I hope you're right. I was upset after seeing the GP but I'm feeling stronger now x
