Just finished my phone appointment with the GP......due at 3pm, phoned me at 3.25pm but nevermind.😡

My HBA1C is down from 9.5% to 7.0% which I am very pleased about - and doc is too!

Cholesterol is still slightly raised at 5.3 (total) but down from 5.7 so doc is also pleased with that.

Problem is I didn't tell them at the blood tests that I had fasted, so they didn't get detailed results such as LDL and Triglycerides - they don't detail these on "random" tests apparently.

So not as detailed as I would have liked, but a definite improvement which I am so happy about 🙂

Thanks guys for all the advice, help and just general support on here......it really makes all the difference when things get tough and you feel like giving up :D

Well done, LucyLoo, you deserve to be chuffed! :D

Pity about the LDL etc .... when I go to the hospital they always ask if I've fasted, so there's no mix up. Never mind, great results!

Thank you Pine Marten :D They didn't ask and I didn't think to say.....at least I will know to say something next time.....I'm a bit gutted I fasted for nothing haha! 😱:D

Great results Lucy...bit disappointing they didn't/couldn't give you the breakdown for your cholesterol...not too bad...and if the HDL & Trigs levels are good...then you're doing well on that front...yes we sometimes do forget to say...or is it they we presume they will 'ask' since it is so relevant to the results?...overall positive...well done.

Great job LucyLoo, that's an excellent improvement! 🙂 I've never been given the full breakdown since I left hospital nearly 9 years ago. They can still give you the ratio though, and if that's OK I wouldn't worry at your kind of levels 🙂

Excellent, well done. 🙂

Thanks again everyone for your kind messages 🙂 I have tried to "like" them all so I do apologise if I have missed anyone 🙄
