Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hi everyone
I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes 7 years ago and have been able to control it with diet alone. I have been suffering from redness on one of my big toes for a few days and saw my GP this afternoon. He was not sure whether it is infected but has prescribed antibiotics to be on the safe side. He said that I had done the right thing in going to see him, as being diabetic feet problems can be serious. I know that this is the case, but today have suddenly felt down . I have always had good HBA1C levels and don't even think about being diabetic most of the time. It has reminded me that it is so important to be vigilant.

Hi Debbie, glad you got it checked out. Its worth getting the little things checked.

Hi Debbie, welcome to the forum. It does come as s bit of a nasty shock when these things happen doesn’t it. It’s good to hear that you got it checked out and Dr thinks their is no infection. Just keep a very close eye on it and if your at all worried don’t hesitate to get it looked at again
