Pets can be a life saver in our times of need, they give unconditional love and don't ask much in return, other than to be loved and fed.

So lets celebrate our pets, those that give you that warm feeling.

We have two Cockapoo's, this is JenJen our rescue who we have had for 18 months now.

Many forum folks will already be aware of Marvin my pooch. And frequent cameo scene-stealer in any Zoom / Video calls!

He’s a spaniel/poodle cross. Clumber Spaniel, and Miniature Poodle. Whuch makes a Clumberdoodle.

Not so big a fan of the Groomers as yours by the look of things @Alan44 :D

Does Toby count? Part pet, part mode of transport. Cob, crossed with something probably Welsh, could have been anything small and hairy, no recorded breeding on his passport. Is good as gold, especially if food is involved, (he’s still got breakfast all over his nose in this photo) cheeky boy will unzip your pockets searching for treats.
Here he is on a windy day sporting his Boris Johnson look.

This is Millie, we were told half harlequin half lop rabbit. She’s just coming up to a year old. We had her sister too, Betsy, who was brown and white and had blue eyes. Sadly, Betsy had to be put to sleep at just four months old which was a bit traumatic! Thankfully, Millie adjusted well to the change, she was always the shy one of the two, but since Betsy went she has completely come out of her shell and now thinks she’s in charge, and if you aren’t doing what she thinks you should be doing (providing food, or opening the door for her to go into the garden) you get a volley of thumps :D

I love his photo of Toby, especially his moustache. He is so windswept and groovy!

His moustache is incredible in the winter, the head groom at the yard shapes it into full Jimmy Edwards handlebar when it’s at its longest. His mane is a law unto itself, daughter keeps threatening to hog him, but I’ve told her she mustn’t! (she’s not serious, but sometimes when it’s stained red with the ironstone soil and flopping in every direction, she says it out of exasperation!)

Not a pet, but my oldest magpie buddy. Named Buddy, in fact.

Friendly, not tame.

I have hogged mine a few times and they do actually suit it and seem to feel more comfortable (particularly Rascal who overheats very easily even in the winter) but I miss that useful hand hold when mounting or trying to hang on after a few bucks. 🙄 Ian always has his horses hogged and they look really smart and certainly don't object to having it done.
I was surprised how much Cora loved having her feather taken off earlier this year. She doesn't have a lot of feather but there was no doubting how much she loved being clean legged. In her 31 years she had never had it taken off but it really gave her a new lease of life. She really enjoyed the process as well as the feeling of being clean legged afterwards.

Absolutely gorgeous, have looked at this breed a few times

Kat. She's my son's cat really but he can't stand the hassle. :D

When a got bramble breeder also had cockapoos, was very tempted but thought 3 was too many. What are their coats like to maintain
Our two have to go to the groomers every 6 weeks (£52 each so not cheap).
It will depend on how curly their coat, is but every 6 to 8 weeks is the norm for Cockapoo's.

Not pets exactly..... more family. They are all related, Cora (31yrs) on the left being their mother and then next to her MeMe (16yrs) who is her youngest daughter followed by MeMe's two older brothers, Rebel (27) and Rascal (26) and yes both lads were named very appropriately. 🙄 Rebel thinks he knows best and thinks he should make all the decisions but he can also be a charmer and a gentleman. Rascal is one of those loveable rogues. His talent is getting into trouble. MeMe is a sweetheart and the most comfortable horse imaginable to ride, but she lacks a bit of confidence unless her brothers are with her and Cora has enjoyed having and raising babies more than being ridden although we used to have some adventures together before and between foals.
