My blood sugar levels were very high. so after a strict diet for 20 weeks i went back for another blood test & she phoned a week later & said i had done well & was down to 45?? 45 what?. we got side tracked before i could ask her. Would she be talking HbA1c? as the only figer's i know are "mmol/L". Thanks

Yes she would have been referring to your hba1c, well done 🙂 xx

Could very well be. It's always best to make them tell you what they're talking about. If you can.
HbA1c results ranges are:
30(?) - 41 "normal"
42 - 47 is called pre diabetic.
48 and above gets you a diagnoses of diabetes (even if you then go down below 48 you're still down as diabetic).
People on here have been diagnosed with a HbA1c from 49 to 100 and over.
