Nothing like DAFNE offered up here another inconvenience, of living where I do.. thank goodness for the internet!

For Type 2 around here the course they offer is DESMOND.
Is there anything like that for you?

Carbs 4 1 offered by Coventry is NOT DAFNE - it's actually firmly based on BERTIE - which is the only other course in the UK meeting ALL of NICE/NHS requirements for a T1 education course.

You'll enjoy it, make friends and learn LOADS. I'd been T1 for over 30 years when I did mine (years ago at Rugby, St Cross) - and I've half-joked ever since that I don't know how I ever stayed alive for those years pre course, without it.

Changes everybody's life for the better - so make the most of it and ask ALL the questions you need to.

DAFNE is only for people with type 1 diabetes. DESMOND is the most widespread course for people with type 2 diabetes. XPERT is also offered in some places for people with a range of long term conditions. In the absence of face to face courses, you're right that online can be a life saver. However, I've never been offered a DAFNE that I could attend - compulsory to attend an evening, when I had another commitment, with no idea when the week would be, which is impossible when juggling 5 zero hours contracts, 3 of which are mainly or completely weekday jobs, but all irregular.
