First the good , my A1c though up slightly is 52 Gp was thrilled. I
The not so good is my ckd has worsened now stage 5
and I am Anaemic .
More bloods to be done

Excellent result on your HbA1c Lin. Ok, so it is up a bit on your last one which was beyond fabulous but that is the problem with getting a really fantastic result... hard act to follow. My last HbA1c was the same but my consultant still gave me a big metaphorical pat on the back and was very happy with it, so I must be too, although I am determined that next one will be lower again!
Sorry to hear that your kidney situation has deteriorated and you are low on Popeye juice. Hope that they can fix you up and improve those conditions at least to some extent. Sending (((HUGS))) and many congratulations.

Oh no! Sorry to hear about your kidneys @Ljc (((((hugs)))))

Well done on the A1c.

Hope the next set of results result in a positive way forward. Have they suggested anything for the anaemia in the meantime. Will they be checking fructosamine (in case your HbA1c is affected by your low red blood cell count)?

Hi. My wife was lucky in going from CKD Stage 5 to a transplant in June. Work towards getting yourself on the transplant list which can happen within 6 months of predicted dialysis. If you are older the wait can be quite short for a kidney if you are lucky and fit.
